Broaching the topic of creativity and pin pointing an original way to approach the processes of culture production, distribution and organisation are fascinating issues which seduce public operators and policy makers. Many are the places which express creativity: public, private, real, virtual, permanent, temporary places – like festivals. From the artistic point of view these are expressive modalities which adhere to an “expanded” concept of culture, which tends to comprise an ever dense blend of different arts, grafted on a logic of reinterpretation of classical culture with innovative instruments. Whilst from the organisation point of view progress has been made on the management- organisation front, as these have been revisited in terms of sustainability, which in turn triggers the creation of strategic networks and partnerships aiming at creating short-circuits amongst the different sectors and not just the cultural one.

Is Italian New Wave a faint utopia, a mirage more longed for than real or even, a vital subtext which feeds the cultural world? Which are the new possible models to approach culture in a creative fashion?
